Dear members,
There´s a growing interest in tunnel ventilation systems in order to reduce heat stress and increase animal comfort in hot weather. Despite its many benefits, operating costs can be high. How can we minimize the use of energy?
I agree with those tips to control the poultry house condition, but nowadays there is very useful instrument to control a condition such:static pressure sensor, amoniac concentration sensor and advanced programmable controller that able to connect this sensors together and give order to equipment like fans, inlets, evaporative cooling pads, heaters etc.
Mr, Asperidion, I think u hav not using roof insulation. it is bcs at two ends of farm temp is low due to the fact ,at pad side area the air is cooler ,&at fanside it is expelled rapidly , heat is built up in the middle dueto ;1. maybe no of fans are less ; 2. roof insulation is not proper. 3 attic must be addressed.
Hello everybody. very nice detaied discussion on the forum. For Indian conditions this tips will be benenficial.
Can yo suggest more about impletation for indian hot & humid seasons.
Thank You

A tunnel house with high energy efficiency could be some times problematic as insulators/ceilings could hinder cleaning and disinfection procedures. Therefore, factors such as ease of cleaning & disinfection should be considered very well otherwise, the gain obtained from improved energy efficiency would be lost due to repeated out breaks of diseases.
