yes i have an experience on 4 strains of broiler and i get 1.9 kg average weight gain in 35 days

The current numbers for Ross 708 broilers are listed http://en.aviagen.com/assets/Tech_Center/Ross_Broiler/Ross-708-Broiler-PO-2014-EN.pdf at this site. Utilizing a standard diet with normal health and growing conditions you can expect birds to weigh 2.035 kg having consumed 3.107 kg of feed for an expected F/G of 1.527. Based on the previous post many factors can impact FCR, but it is just and number and may say little about profitability!

Chicks housed-6109 birds sold-5712 totsl kg-17607.08 ABW-3.082 FCR-1.717 Mort-6.50 CFCR-1.45 mean age 47.60 DG- 60.92 This results at nashik i have seen very fantanstic.

dr giri to kindly explain what is the technical meaning of corrected fcr and how far is biologically valid. what is DG you have stated. while explaining data please say in full form sir so that all will understand sir . at 47 days 3kg body wt with fcr is ok and it is good if data of feed is with you. you may also send some more such views of your area when such good performance is seen by you. with regards. dr m rath

I have my own doubt about the nutrient requirement of broilers specially about amino acid requirement in relation to metabolisable energy.There is major change in energy requirement of bird instead amino acids and protein.Increasing a.a.like lysine proportionaly increase requirement of synthetic amino acids like methionine and threonine which is very expensive after adding import duty in India.I feel we should try to optimise minimum requirement of lysine not the maximum requirement.According to my experience ,the Cobb 400 broiler require 2900,3000.3050 ME and 1.04,.99 and .88% D.Lys for the period 0-14 d,15-25 d and 26 to 36 day for 2 kg body weight and 1.6 FCR in corn soya diet.

Hi I asked for some of them to help by providing concentrate formula none of them helped .myself i took one of the concentrate in additional to that venkies,natural remedies, gram's lab, Vet care.by this course the result is 2kg body weight and 1.5FCR .for CFCR (BATCH 1) Average body weight is2.693 , average FCR1.678 . Batch opening23/10/2014 Batch closing 8/12/2014 ( 45 days) (BATCH 2) Average body weight is2.562 , average FCR1. 728 . We found this result . In case if you any suggestions for 35 days 2kg and 1.5FCR suggest me. Coutioun:in the above Batch there is no scientific cleaning. Respected all , Feed conversion efficiency in broiler depends on multiple factors which includes stocking density , diet density ,fiber content of diet , season , ideal amino acid ratios ( standard ileal digestibility) in reference to lysine and batch size .lower the stoking density better feed conversion efficiency and vis a vis .Readily available sources of energy with lower heat increments contributes to high diet density and better feed conversion efficiency .higher fiber content in diet contributes to thickening of gut mucosa hampering nutrient absorption and assimilation , production of volatile fatty acid in hind gut favoring growth of undesirable bacteria and gut viscosity. feed conversion efficiency is higher in winter than summer due to lower rate of metabolism .Additional incorporation of synthetic amino acids like Threonine and Trpyptophan boost up feed conversion efficiency as threonine increases feed uptake and tryptophan increases production of mucus essential to maintain immunity .Batch size is inversely proportional to feed conversion efficiency . higher batch size poor feed conversion efficiency and vis a vis .Weight gain of broiler during initial seven day has immense impact on overall feed conversion efficiency of brolier . As Dr. Rakesh Nimbalkar is comenting fiber Content is also affecting the FCR. But the nature of the fiber has significant impact litter quality (B. L. Nielsen et. al, Animal, page 1 of 12 & The Animal Consortium 2011) or in general described by Dr. Manfred Pietsch (ASIAN POULTRY MAGAZINE, Sept. 2014). Soluble fiber increments the viscosity of the digesta and as you already know, higher viscosity means, more water intake (higher litter humidity), lower nutrients digestibility (cage effect) etc. Insoluble fiber is a real structurising fibre, improves starch and protein digestibility, increased intestinal passage rate, stimulates intestinal villi growth (importance of villis in de digestion and immunology for sure you know enough about it), increases dry matter content of faeces, prevents cannibalism etc. Using insoluble fiber for sure you will have healthier animals and so the FCR can be just better. Lohmann (Dr. Pottgüter, LOHMANN INFORMATION, Fibre in Layer Diets Vol. 43 (2), Oct. 2008, Page 22), ISA feeding guidelines 2007 (www.hendrix-genetics.com) and Hubbard (Jack Michards, Hubbard Technical Bulletin 10/2011) recomend use of insoluble fiber in poultry Nutrition. I do agree with what Zoltan Gregus has stated pertaning to improvement in FCR with insoluble fiber . Insoluble fibre causes better gizzard function by increasing GIT motility , digesta mixing , with more secretion of HCl, bile salt and enzyme .It also enhances nutrient digestion by increasing mineral solubility and pepsinogen activation .It also causes feed intake regulation by reducing hyperphagia ( improves FCR ) and less proventriculitis ( rupture ) . This depends upon type , level ,particle size of fibre sources as well as health status affect chick response . Respected Vijayaraghvan Gonuguntla Incorporation of colloidal or near nano sized amino acids, mineral and PUFA may improve FCR as they do not come across antagonism of mucin secreted by gastric mucosa , no requirement of carrier protein as bound amino acids in chelated / protected minerals acts as carrier proteins Various chelates like proteinates , methionates and glycinates are available .Their biovalibilty is high in comparision with inorganic trace mineral . Total replacement of inorganic trace mineral is possible with chelated organic mineral depending upon final concentration of mineral in finished product.Mineral are transported by active transport and passive diffussion .Bonding between amino acid and mineral is important for their efficacy ..lower the molecular size higher the uptake by instestinal mucosa and vice versa . I think keeping minimal lysine in feed will reduce the requirement of methionine,threonine and tryptophan with out affecting performance of broilers.No need to supply either tryptophan or threonine.

Respected Dr Pathak , In my opinion we must rely on incorporation of synthetic amino acids considering better bioavailability . Contribution of these amino acid through conventional sources may involve the risk of maillard reaction affecting their biodegradability and bioavailibilty reflected in hampered feed conversion efficiency . As these amino acids are concerned with muscle protein deposition , their bioavailability is utmost criterion to be considered during formulation . Poultry is a machine which converts feed nutrients to meat which sheerly depends on bioavailability of feed nutrients after degradation in the gut .Methionine is primarily concern with lean meat production which paves the way for customer satisfaction .

Dear Dr Nimbalkar I do agree with you for the incorporation of synthetic amino acid in poultry feed.But simulteniously we should not overlook availability of amino acids from various ingredients.Our focus should be more on the raw material quality more specificaly about protein sources and antinutritional factors present in them. We must avoid use of poor quality animal proteins in poultry feed.Use of enzymeshelps to uplift the digestibility of nutrients including amino acids.We should be more cost concious about the prices of various aminoacids as we are 100 % dependent on imports.There is always fluctuation in price due to volatile nature of doller or euro price plus the monopoly of the suppliers.Ex recently the methionine price has increased from 5 $ to 9 $.We have no option than to accept it

Dear Dr Pathak , Contribution of green house gaseous to global warming would be higher from poultry production if we use conventional sources of proteins for amino acids than using synthetic amino acids affecting whole biomass . Cost benefit ratio has to be calculated on the basis of linear calculation considering the prices of synthetic amino acids and conventional protein source . Animal protein sources have better amino profile having no adverse effect on meat conversion parameters once you are sure about pepsin digestibility and microbial contamination . Issue of import duty contributing higher prices would be resolved shortly as overseas manufactures are setting up their manufacturing facility shortly in India(Lysine production ) . As methionine is produced from petroleum products , international prices of crude oil has impact on the prices of methionine.
