The affected quarter will not produce milk in this lactation. If Fibrous tissue is removed provided small quantity of secretary tissue is there now in next lactation you can expect more more. The space occupied by fibrous tissue will be available for multiplication of secretary tissue under growth hormone during pregnancy.
The homeo drugs used or removing fibrous tissue are Aurum muriaticum Natronatum 30 or 200, Conium 30, Calcaria flour 30, and Thiosinaminum 6. Each 10 pills of 30 size 3 times daily for 20 to 30 days.
Meanwhile to protect the milk yield in other quarters we use Phytolacca 30, sulfur 30, Calcaria carb 30, calcaria phos 30, Echinasae 200. Each 10 pills 3 times a day. Veeresh G. Navalgatti Cow or buffalo which has dirty discharge from genitalia for more than three days is considered as Metritis (Inflammation of uterus). The cause for this can be Retention of placenta, abortion, eversion of uterus, prolonged dystokia as well poor involution of uterus after calving or abortion poor hygiene followed by Artificial insemination worker etc. Modern method of treating is to use PGF2 alpha as intramuscular route in metritis case. BUT PGF2 alpha works only when the CL is producing more quantity of progesterone. That can be identified by only Veterinary graduates as they are trained in determining the age of corpus luteum. Such training is not given to short time trained inseminators. PGF2 alpha is a hormone and only veterinary graduates can use them. PGF2alpha works only when Corpus luteum is matured. After PGF2 alpha.injection the animal comes into heat or estrus between 36 to 120 hours mostly by 72 hours. If corpus luteum is absent then feeding has to be increased The veterinary doctor will use into uterus antibiotics and also as injections intra-muscularly. With good hygiene and sterilized equipment has to be introduced into uterus.Minimum 3 days the drugs has to be used. In chronic cases the PGFalpha the veterinarian repeats. Also we have to supplement vitamin E and Selenium trace mineral. If not available feed two to three days aged germinated horse gram after grinding and boiling with small quantity of salt for taste daily half a kilo for 20 or more days. Along with this Homeo drugs are used. Selenium 30, Aletris farinosa 30, Pyrogenium 1M, Gun powder 6, Sepia 30, Sabina 30, if the animal is in milk Calcaria Phos 30, Calcaria carb 30 (to protect milk yield) Each 10 pills of 30 size three times a day for 7 days. To detect sub clinical mastitis 12 grams of Surf excel powder is mixed into 300 ml of boiled and cooled water. Can be preserved for 90 days if kept in a dark place. Mix 2 ml of this with 2 ml of milk from each teat separately in a paddle. After 10 seconds if fine granules to clots appear in the bottom of the paddle it is concluded as sub clinical mastitis. Depending on the symptoms the response seen with antibiotics in that herd or area are preferably used. Before using antibiotic better to send the suspected milk for antibiotic sensitivity. We are using 50 gramss of Banmast 50 which has coated Tri sodium citrate in 250 ml water by mouth every day once maximum 10 days. Intra mammary antibiotics, antihistamines, etc. In Clinical mastitis we use Mastibo D 50 grams per day in 250 ml water by mouth every day once.
Mastitis with Anorexia:(not eating)
A. Belladonna 30 or 200: When the udder is hot, painful, and edematous.
Dose: Belladonna 30: one dose every two hours 4 to 5 times tills relief Belladonna 200: B.I.D for 2 days
B. Bryonia 30 or 200: When udder is hard, painful, hot, animal is disinclined to move
Dose: One dose every 3 hrs, till relief

I have not used my laptop for last two days. your cow needs rectal examination by a veterinina\ary graduate to rule out uterine infection as well sub-clinical mastitis. For uterine infection (metritis) we use drugs like Metricef or 3 to 5 days intra uterine. Other injections of antibiotics, antihistamines, liver stimulants, Vitamin A and E.
Soon after calving in metritis I suggest homeo drugs like Pyrogenium 1M, Echinacea mother tincture (Q), Sabina 30, Gun powder 6, Cauophyllum 30, Secale cornutum 30, Selenium 30
and to protect milk yield Calcaria Phos 30, Calcaria carb 30 and Phytolacca 30/ Mix all use 2 ml of the mixture in 20 ml water by mouth. Repeat daily 4 times in first 3 days then 3 times a day for a week. Homeo alone may not cure the uterine infection

If milked if the milk is watery or has white or yellow clots it is a case of mastitis. If the milk is normal it can be a case of udder edema which is physiological.. When the udder is pressed with a finger it pits on pressure. Milk will be normal. In mastitis such pitting on pressure will be absent. Stop feeding salt. These animals improve with more protein in their diet. It is felt due to oxidative stress they develop this. Observed that these animals are more prone for mastitis or can become a case of subclinical mastitis. Homoeo drugs like Natrum sulph30/200 and Digitalis30 each 10 pills 3 times a day are given for 5 to 7 days.
Ethno veterinary practice: Camphor crystals/powder 30 grams slightly warmed in 30 ml edible oil mixed in 100grams jaggery dissolved in a liter of water and drenched 2 times a day for 2 days.
Diamox 250 mg 6 Tablets two times in a day orally and 200 ml Mannitol Intravenously daily for 5 days.
Combining above all or two of them do give better results.
