Steering Endogenous Butyrate Production in the Intestinal Tract of Broilers as a Tool to Improve Gut Health

Published: June 1, 2017
Summary
INTRODUCTION For many years, broiler intestinal health was supported by the widespread use of antimicrobial growth promoters (AGPs). These AGPs are antibiotic substances that were added to the feed at subtherapeutic levels, leading to improved animal performance. In the European Union, the use of AGPs was banned in 2006 while the Center for Veterinary Medicine of the US Food and Drug. Ad...

Nothing is as well done as by physiology ...
The intestine is a bubbling of life ...
The antibiotic is a drying up of life ...
Sodium butyrate is a real activator of the life bubbling of the contents and the digestive container ... *
Let's be creative, let's be imaginative, be relevant, in our new products, but first of all let's be physiological and honest. Ph.G

Your hypothesis is beautiful, sophisticated, physiological ... I validate the approach.

It is still not validated, the use of calcium salt, away from the capacities of sodium salt, for the absorption of amino acids strictly sodium and still limiting on young ... (filter effect)
As is far from validated, the use of stearin and its fusion point outside the physiological limits, confusing in addition, the more extensive capacities of the poly-gastric and the much more strict and limited capacities of the monogastric. (Length of intestine and transit time)
The physiology is the « Conductor » of digestion, absorption and immunity ... we must follow its measure ... under the risk of disharmony !!!
How can we seriously imagine that "anti-nutritional" solutions are more "intelligent" and more effective than the model of physiology ???

The more exogenous (non-dissociated) Butyrate will arrive in the small intestine more naturally the flora will be oriented towards a decrease of G-, in favor of a flourishing lactic flora which will provide on the site more l-lactate which will serve of nutrient to the bacteria Butyratogens ... which by a starter effect, will arrive soon…
I call this the Physiological « Virtuous Circle » of undissociated Butyrate and this virtuous physiological circle, be sure, has not said its last word.

Nutritionally yours

in your discussion you forget to discuss the Liver and its enzymes. working only at the gut is not enough to get rid of antibiotic growth promoter. your comment needed

The banning of antibiotics does not induce the automatic update of the nutrition reflection software of each of us. The update is essential ... it's up to you to do it. Working without antibiotics is possible. Continuing with antibiotics is mortifying for society ... and this is not our ethics. We need to bring healthy products and not products able to carry resistance. It was much easier to work with antibiotics "Jack pot", which did not require a high level of "Science" ... It is up to you to set yourself at the time of a society that will refuse to take the risk of a fatal resistance ... or you will disappear. Stimulating physiology to the reaction is the pathway offered by sodium butyrate (with physiological protection), and what it knows perfectly to do by making all cascade, enzymatic, peptide and even hormonal secretions more reactive, progressively along the digestive tract. As a result, in the faeces, a decrease in fat, nitrogen, (mV Redox) marks the anti-inflammatory effect and an increase in lactate. What can you expect from more physiological? Healthier? More adequate? Good luck. And trust physiology, its scientific level and its abilities are very much superior to the accumulated level of us all! Mr. Philippe Gossart it is very nice to read your article of stimulating physiology. Can you give me your email i want to discuss some issues on the use of Photogenic growth promoters for poultry.

Though young bird their villi is not fully developed so short chain fatty acid like butyrate can play a significant roles for better growth of the villi better regeneration of intestinal epithelial cells as well and better absorption of nutrients & performances.

A very interesting article. However, I'm curious why there is no mention of MOS in the Prebiotics section? MOS is possibly the most well-proven and widely used prebiotic in general use.
