During medication, vaccination usually not done as vaccination always done to healthy birds/animals. For S/C vaccination always use distal water or clean boiled water without chlorine

always try to stop any medication and disinfectant before live vaccine application , some live vaccines easily affected by antibiotics and water medications especially bacterial vaccines . Effect of water medication on the vaccines depend on the type of the vaccine you are applying , you can find the safety information on the products label .it is preffered to contact the product vendor before going on

Chlorine will inhibit the live virus. Either you will have to use skimmed milk or leave the water for 24 hours to get rid of chlorine. Vaccination should be done in HEALTHY birds. No medication during vaccination. Please refer to the Technical sheets of the vaccine suppliers.

Vaccinations are best done in dist. water. Chlorination, heavy metals and hardness will have some impact on the efficacy of the vaccine.

Yes it is safe to do eye drop vaccination with distilled water and using the appropriate diluent for Sc. There are a number of Cl Binders on the market (Na Thiosulphate) that work well if correctly applied.

Vaccine administered through eye or nasal drop finds its way to the gut through the nasal cavity and nasolachrimal ducts. Chlorination thus may interfere with the response to the vaccine. It is best to treat the drinking water with skimmed milk or any suitable binders like Aviblue or Cevamune among others. For injectable vaccines, chlorination of drinking water has no interference.

Normally, vaccines are administered to healthy birds. During intra-ocular instillation appropriate diluent or distil water free of chlorine are used ,since the eye ,nose and throat have a common opening. If chlorine is present during this process ,then the vaccines are denatured and hence efficacy is reduced with resultant vaccination failure. Subcutaneous vaccination can be done using appropriate diluent from the vaccine manufacturer. For the purpose of stress reduction vitaminated water can be administered in this case,

Hi In case of live vaccine you should stop chlorination for 72 hours. You may use medicine which has no effect on vaccine. During vaccination time it is better to stop any drug. But for S/C vaccine (in case of bacterial vaccine) you may use any medicine. In addition you should consult with experienced poultry expert or vaccine supplier.

Hello Shahidul, Which medications do you consider compatible with oral vaccines? Is it true that you recommend antibiotic use with injectable vaccines? Thank you. Regards, Odede

It is very important to stop chlorination and medication 24 hrs before Vaccination (live Vaccination) Even after this we can add skimmed milk to water to neutralise the water for live vacancies.
