Doug Korver (University of Alberta) explained how to better evaluate the use of this enzyme in the nutrition of laying hens, during IPPE 2020 in Atlanta, USA.
I wrote my thesis on phytase in broilers at the University of Leipzig in 1994. I went on to launch the first phytase product in South Africa. Good to read this article.
in diet when we use Phytase improvement in P availability and digestibility.
no doubt it increase bird performance but my question is
when we use phytase it relase the other nutrients(protein,AA,mineral,carb.).
when the GIT is colonized by enteric pathogen.
these nutrients relase by phytase absorb by Enteric pathogen and increse the incidence of necrotic enteritis.
so can we use phytase in shuttle programme ?
2-is this better to formulate feed without phytase with balance of Calcium and available P?
Dear Prof. Korver,
Thank you for the valuable information on Phytase.
Dear sir, if phytase is for release of phosphorus from phytate complex, does it have also significant effect on Ca concentration and that is why Ca matrix is there. And how much Av. P matrix can be then considered for a product having 500FTU/Kg feed in layers.
