Oregano has good results and is expensive. Paramount Aromachem India is producing Carvacrol fro D-limonene( Orange Oil ) . This is 99.6% pure and is also the main active in Oregano Oil.
paramount have introduce Oregano 75 which is a blend of Carvacrol , Paracymene, Thymol to produce a blend close to odour and Flavour of Natural Oregano. The savings will be quite marked

One of the barriers to using more essential oils has been cost. Carvacrol from Oregano Oil is seen to be effective but the cost can be high. Paramount Aromachem India now have a 2000 tonne facility for the production of Carvacrol and L- carvone dervied for Orange Oil Terpene D- Limonene.
The purity is 99.6^ and costs about 1/3 that of Oregano oils

Yes I see the paper. I wonder why everyone is looking for the active from Natural Oils which can be very expensive. Our process derived from orange oil gives a big cost advantage.

Very interesting . We are producing Carvacrol by conversion of d-limonene via L- Carvone. The Carvacrol produced is 99.6% and would be very effective as a FPA. The costs compared with extracting Oregano oil is significantly lower by more than 50% cost reduction .
