Hi everyone,

Thanks a lot for this article.

Those specifications are they valable for layers.

What do you think of coryza mix vaccines like ceva 4 k and 7k.
Day old layers are they susceptible to interactions if MD and other vaccinés are implemented the same day at the hatchery?

Hope to read from you soon.

Patrick

Dear BAWINDSOMDE OUEDRAOGO, Your question is restricted to laying or breeder hens not to broilers to which this paper is about. Both are inactivated vaccines with aluminum hydroxide adjuvant and are intended for pre-lay hen vaccination. The 4K vaccine contains an inactivated combination of Avibacterium paragallinarum serotypes A, B and C, and the Salmonella Enteritidis strain, homogenized with aluminum hydroxide adjuvant, while the 7K vaccine contains is more complete since it contains the Salmonella Enteritidis infection, Salmonella Enteritidis disease. Newcastle, Infectious Bronchitis and Egg Drop Syndrome. So your choice depends on the diseases you want to prevent. Inactivated vaccines always require 2 doses separated by a minimum interval of 3 to 4 weeks between the two doses (booster effect). Prevention of Salmonella Enteritidis, Newcastle Disease and Infectious Bronchitis also requires considering the application of live attenuated vaccines. Each vaccine schedule depends on the incidence and prevelence of the diseases in your geographical area.
