It is important to specify the type of cage and possibly the cost implication. A cost-benefit analysis will clearly demonstrate which management system is better.

Low FCR, Less labour during loading of live birds. Zero cost for litter. Less energy cost for heating in cold climates. faster growing vs on litter. less gastro intestinal problems.
The relative humidity must be arranged by keeping the concrete floor wet during ventilation for transferring the heat produced by the birds out.

Just increase your sources of phosphorus level in cage diet, recent rearing from hot climate here can attainabout 89-96% target attainable live weight in 36-42 days Yes we have the records and as for cages you may adapt your existing cages but with drinkers and feeders modification Please Google further on broiler cage drinkers and feeders It can be done just as we do it here all it required is determination and scientific flexibility Good luck

it is not advisable for small scale farming. we put 80 000 birds in each house , and keep the birds according to their body weights. because each cage in our houses can be loaded maximum 250 kgms. so if we put 125 birds in each cage, we must slaughter at 32 days when they riched 2 kgs. if we want to slaughter at 2,5 kgs in 38 days , we must put 100 birds in each cage.

Rearing broilers in cages is not so popular in many parts of the world because the challenges we face in brooding, vaccination, feeding and finally lifting the birds etc., and, most importantly, initial Infrastructure cost per bird may not be feasible in broiler cage system. If prices are comfortable we can opt for cage system or like Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar style... they rear the birds on the floor?

I believe that must be a reduction in energy in the feed because of less movement in the cage. What about other nutrients like amino acids, vitamins, for example, biotin
I think there were more contributions and opinions about the nutrient requirements.

In my view, if we ignore the poultry welfare issues, cage rearing is more advantageous in the following prospects: no expenditure on litter, less incidences of coccidiosis, reduced cannibalism, better growth and feed efficiency, less feed wastage, cleaning and disinfection become easier.
