Broiler breeders are 26-29 weeks of age: Flock is at the initial stage of production. Usually the cocks are not fully matured, hence the low fertility problem. Increase the Vit.E levels in the ration. Remove the inferior cocks from the flock.

Hi Dr The Topic you have posted has vital role in PS flock , i will start my answer in this way look for some good breed having good Male and Female combination .next is good rearing look for the first 4-6 wks body wt of the male and size of male , one should full fill all the requiremnts in the rearing period of the both M/F . weekly body wt and then from 12 wks onwards very critical period for the Males as the development of the Male Testical size and for the female body wt and also for the overy developemntal satges , avaiod any stress factors during this period and take a good care for constant weekly body weight gain it should be gain every week . the arround 16-18 week one should look for the a unformity for the body weight should be 80+ for both M/F . try to maintain all this till weeks25-26 . the very important period will start for the PS flock which is lighting if u are keeping the flocks in open house in increasing day length then again look for the body weight for the F/M and it should not be start before 2300 grams for the Fand for Male u can also start the light at the same time , while in open House with decreasing day length which is more diffcult the important thing is the body weight again it should be some what above than the standard line graph and you can staimulate the Male a week ago before starting the F, for closed houses you can follow the same but body weight is very important . The last thing is mixing of the Male with Female , usually it should not more than 9% in the start but better to start it gradually from 5-6 and then increased the number , but here u have to consider some very important and basic points that Male and F groupings and time of mixing the males, and checking of every male at the time of mixing like for the Maturity correct body weight good body Flushing and also the touching of cloacal opeing and how it feels and it should be some what misty but not like badly entrits affecting . The Male Feeding is very important at this age look for it may be some of the Males cant find their feeders and with no feed in it so look for it and look for mangment techniques like female is not stelling the Male feeds and also vise versa so look for these point and again body wt gain is very important . looks for the behaviour of male and female if they you have mixed more male and they are very agressive then it is also a problem to get good hatchability if the number is ok then no woory to mix more . when your production starts and at up to what what number of % prod u want to sent the eggs to the hatchery at the fisrt it should be low hatch and than it will increased but if get very low in the start and it is not improving than may be their is some problem in your rearing etc and you can give them E.SEL liquid which is availavble in the the Market from 19 wks onwards 2-3 /wk also for the Feed profile for vitamins increase the vit E ratio in Your feeds . The very important after the Eggs is to keep it in good way before sending it to Hatchery a good storage with proper Humidity and cooling temp ,and the Transportation for the Hatchery , Keep the eggs for at least of 20-24 hrs to cool down the internal eggs temp ( physiological zero) and then you can sent the eggs to the Hatchery if you are setting the eggs 2 times a week , and if you need to keep the eggs to long period of time like more than 2 wks then you need to keep the eggs at proper temp with the Turner . I think some of these discussed point will give some what idea for getting good hatchability from a good and well reared flock . The final thing is the Machines you are using and way you handle them is also very important but most of the companies involves in the incuabtion. Most of the Machines available in world are now with latest Technology .

@ Dr Jaydip Breed selection depends on the availability of the bird in your area , you can get more informations from these companies , also if you need some colour for skins after slaughtering you can find also that type of males which are able to transfer the colour to end product( brolier ) . I have worked with AA/ and Hubbard / Ross/ IR . The best and easy bird i have find for the hatchability point of view especialy when you dont have all other problem is Hubbard Male line , the other breeds are also good but as you know that there are some +ive and -ive points for each breed but i find the Hubbard works well in our conditions .
