Dear TomI listened to you carefully, from our experience what you said is important. I do agree, moreover broiler farm management has to be aware of all biosecurity measures to keep birds and farm save throughout the year.

We have a broiler farm using tunnel ventilation and evaporative cooling system. We operate fans and air speed according to the age and inner climate conditions. We belive that the enthalpy in the house which counts at the end of the day. The birds do not suffer from heat stress if all climate parameters under control.

I must state that this study is beneficial and a lot of effort put in it.... Generally, we do not suffer from wet litter in all house, but in case we have a problem with the water line or nipples we remove immediately the wetted litter and change by new dry litter in that small wetted area only.

From field experience in our region which is humid and hot , we planned to solve the problem of wetting and gases in brioler farms by applying the tunnel ventilation system and water nipple with cap lines. But you generalized the case and gave impression that all poultry farms are infected through out the region. Scientifically, one has to be precise. The field results of this article are good and beneficial. It is expected to have a nonconstant air speed at the level of grown broiler or floor level, because of the total body volume covering the whole floor area.
