Nutritional requirements of modern broilers
Introduction:Due to the constant genetic evolution in both the production of broilers, nutritionists must constantly adapt their nutritional recommendations and feeding programs to maximize economic results at all times. These management and nutrition decisions must take into account: the animal (potential for growth), environmental conditions and the composition of the feed, which affect feed con ...

Performance of Broilers fed mash as Compared to Broilers fed on pellets
In my experience with mash feed in broiler, i observed this facts: 1. A decrease in mortality 2. An improvment of litter condition (less wet) 3. The gut is more healthy and more thick (heavy) especially gizzard. This explane the lower dressing rate 4. The low fat deposition is olso observed du to à lower growth rate 5. But a slow growth compared with pellet feed but the third point can be improve ...

Performance of Broilers fed mash as Compared to Broilers fed on pellets
One of the reasons is that birds spend more energy when fed with mash than when fed with pellets: most of this difference comes from the greater number of accesses to the feeder, as birds have to frequently stop feeding to go drinking - to clean their mouth from the dust than is part in the mash feed. If you could feed the birds with a mash containing no dust - i.e. made up only of particles above ...

Forum: Stunted growth in Broiler Chickens
Dear Forum Members, It is my personal experience that a good management helps to control various unwanted effects that ultimately effects the uniformity of growing flocks of broiler & layer chickens, for this purpose I decided to conduct some simple but risky experiments both in broilers & eggs producing hens. I selected to raise a flock of 500 broiler birds, I travelled all along with my ...

Forum: Coccidiosis in poultry
The life cycle is basically made up of fission which is schizogony (Asexual phase) and fusion (sexual phase) which is syngamy . Most drugs are targeted at the rapid asexual phase which is the pathogenic phase. Vaccination is good if and only if the strict rules can be maintained.

Minimum broiler feed requirement (gram/day or gram/bird weight) for its survival and min. requirement for maximum weight gain
DR ABUBAKAR GENE Mostly for Broiler prestarter Cp%/ ME kcal kg 22.5 / 3000 with Digestible lysine 1.25% proportionally adjust rest essential 7-8 amino acids, for starter 22/ 3100 dig Lysine 1.20 % and for finisher 21/ 3250 Digestible Lysine 1.15 % this will give better response around 1.49-1.5 FCR using corn soya based diet.

Minimum broiler feed requirement (gram/day or gram/bird weight) for its survival and min. requirement for maximum weight gain
Good topicHere we give more importance feeding broiler chicks up to 2 wks by using.prestarte at 400 g per chick to get around 400 g body wt.Then follow stater feed till 25 days @ 1000 g of feed per bird which is followed by feeding finisher feed up to 35 days to get 2 kg body wt and 1.55 FCR.The above routine is followed with most of the farms.Lighting is restricted for first 10 days with brooder ...

Which Type of Feed is more Productive and Economical – Mash or Crumble/Pellet?
Dear Dr Jaydip Mulik , Pelleting technology is for converting low grade feed nutrients to high grade feed nutrients ( Conversion of complex carbohydrate to simple carbohydrates) for better digestion and assimilation without any variation in growth of birds as pellets are more ldeal to mash in nutritional balance . In context of CV of mixers , it is only related with dispersion of micro nutrients ...
