CONCLUSIONS Supplementation of 0.12 % CreAMINO® in finisher pigs diet 60 days before slaughter improved weight gain, FCR, lean meat yield by 4.30 %, 4.19 % and 2.20 %, respectively, compared with the control pigs. Pigs fed 0.12 % CreAMINO® 60 days before slaughter had significantly reduced back-fat thickness in carcass compared to control pigs. INTRODUCTION CreAMINO® is a suppl ...

Methionine (Met) is the third limiting amino acid (AA) in typical swine diets. Besides protein synthesis as the main role, Met plays an important role as a methyl donor for cellular metabolism and formation of co-enzyme S-adenosylmethionine (Bunchasak, 2009), and involved in immune function and a precursor for the synthesis of glutathione and taurine in animals (Li et al., 2007). The dietary requi ...

Conclusion Results of this study showed that the supplementation of CreAMINO® at 0.12% significantly improved the growth performance of pigs from starter to finisher stage. Lean mean yield was also significantly improved at 0.12% CreAMINO® supplementation, however meat quality was not affected. Introduction and objective Creatine is involved in cellular energy metabolism through t ...

1. Introduction Weaning is one of the most challenging phases in a pig's life, often accompanied by reduced growth performance and increased incidences of diarrhea (Leibbrandt et al., 1975; VenteSpreeuwenberg et al., 2003). This phase is frequently characterized by reduced feed intake (Bruininx et al., 2002a; VenteSpreeuwenberg et al., 2003) which, in concert with an immature digestive and immune ...
