Homeopathy medicine in cattle disease control
It´s been found that some of the homeopathy medicine is effective for prolapse control, etc
what are your experiences?
Oedema of udder either before or after calving: When the udder is pressed with a finger it pits on pressure. Milk will be normal. In mastitis, such pitting on pressure will be absent. Stop feeding, salt. These animals improve with more protein in their diet. It is felt. due to oxidative stress they develop this. Observed that these animals are more prone for mastitis or can become a case of subclinical mastitis. Homoeo drugs like Natrum sulph 30/200 and Digitalis30 each 10 pills t.i.d. are given for 5 to 7 days.
Ethno veterinary practice: Camphor powder 30 gm slightly warmed in 30 ml edible oil mixed in 100grams jaggery dissolved in a liter of water and drenched 2 times a day for 2 days.
Diamox 250mg six tablets two times, daily orally and 200ml Mannitol i/v every day for 5 days.
Combining above all or two of them do give better results.
I felt it is a feeding problem without optimum minerall mixture
It can be a subclinical acidosis
Castor equi 200 20 pills TID, 10 days. Calcarea Phos 30, 10pills TID 10days. Footbath of 10%Formalin BID/TID 7 to 10 days is suggested. It is recommended in clinical or sub clinical acidosis (low lactometer reading or thin milk is noticed), sodium bicarb, 15g TID in feed or water for a week, fallowed by once in 3-4 days for 4-6 wks. Finely powdered grain or more wheat bran in the feed has to be avoided. Add Bengal gram husk up to 14% in the diet. Fodder has to be fed 3-5 times a day followed concentrate feeding. Watering has to be done 3-4 times in a day.
Acid nitricum 200, 15 pills twice a day and Sulphur 200 once a day daily 14 days.
It has been 2 months since the buffalo was parturition. All types of uterine tonic and galactog bonus and liquid have given. Still the animal is not producing milk. Have also undergone all types of antibiotics and injections.The animal's breed is also good and it is okay to eat and drink.Please tell the homeopathy formula for making milk and increasing milk.

Unless sufficient receptors for milk producing hormones especially growth hormone., it is not possible to increase milk production.
With in one month after calving before it reaches its PEAK MILK Yield any management such as massaging the udder quarters, and washing with 42 degrees Centigrade twice a day for 15 to 20 days daily.
Dystocia, post partum eversion of uterus, Retension of foetal membranes,
septic metritis will surely reduce the milk production.
If Uterus is healthy, no sub clinical acidosis and sub clinical mastitis the below homeo drugs can be used,
Deworm the animTo 450 gm of 20 size sugar pills add 15 ml of Ferrum Phos 6, 5 ml of Ferrum Met 6, 5 ml of Selenium 30, 5 ml of Echinacea 200, and after pills are soaked add repeatedly small quantities of Lecithin 3x and mix till all pills gets a coating of Lecithin 3x. Feed the pills 4 times a day, 4 days per week (daily or on alternate days) for 4 weeks. Dose is ¼, ½ and 1 teaspoonful respectively for calves, heifers and adults. Ferrum phos 1M one dose in a month. In human beings Ferrum phos 1M one dose in a month and one Lecithin 3X tablet and Ferrum Phos 6X (4 tablets) 4 times a day if consumed for a month will improve the Hb levels. Advise the farmer to feed curry leaves, drumstick leaves and paalak. Slow I/V iron injections in 5% DNS to improve milk yield half a kilo 2 kilos per day.
Sarsaparilla30, 20-30 pills TID for 10days before calving + 7days after calving. This drug can be used in women with inverted nipples where she feels difficulty to feed the baby. Human dose 8-10 pills TID(three times in a day). To increase the milk yield Q.Recinus com (8ml), Alfalfa6 (8ml), Calcarea Carb30 (4ml) and Calcarea Phos30 (4 ml) are mixed. From the mixture 10 drops in 5 ml of water are given orally TID for a week. Massage the udder 2 to 3 times a day for 2 weeks.

Some cattle show swelling in udder to valva or udder to navel side in pre partum or post partum ( Udder Edima) parturition. Using Antibiotics and steroids harmful effect in milk. please suggest homeopathy medicine.

It is Causticum 30 daily twice is used in Hypokalemia

During 1999 here was an outbreak of FMD plus HS together then Allopathy drug we used was Oxytetracyclin 100ml in a bottle of NS, 5% DNS for adult animal TWICE a day for 2 or 3 days. For heifers and calves depending on bidy weght same drug was used.
At that time we have not tried any homeo drug.
For FMD you can use Merc sol, Echinacea, Rhus tox, Borax Zincum metallicum 4 times a day By Chance soft hooves developed due to Sub clinical Ruminal Acidosis then Mag Oxide orally.

Treatment :
A. Arsenic 30 or 200 + Pyroginum 200 : Best remedy when depression, dyspnoea trembling, pyrexia, eyes inflammed , lachrymation, salivation, swollen throat.

B. Arsenicum 200 + Anthracinum 200 + Apis 200: When pyrexia, throat edema &depression.
Dose: Q.I.D for 1-3 days
C. Gelsemium 200: When the muscular twitchings, drooling of saliva, protrusion of tongue and difficult swallowing.
Dose: Q.I.D. for 2-3 days
D. Lecheries 200 : Initial stages it is very effective, when tongue swollen, bleeding from rectum,
Dose: 1 dose BID for 2 to 3 days
E. Merc. Sol 200, Borax 200: Salivation, lachrymation, diarrhoea or dysentery

I personally feel there may be a failure of opening the blocked teats.
i have not treated such cases, you may try CARBO ANI 30 THREE ml with
CALCAREA FLOUR 30 HALF ml mixture to be injected HALF ml WEEKLY ONCE THROUGH TEAT PORE for 3 to 5 weeks.
