Congrats Dr.Gupta & Dr.Mrinal ! The article will enlighten the need to handle poultry stress condition. Moreover this is the right time to discuss on this unavoidable problem.
Dear Docs, Good article about solution to combat stress in poultry. The usage of chromium in stress reduction in birds look very encouraging but I have a few doubts on the trials. Firstly, the comparitive body weights and FCR of control and experimental groups is very lopsided. Can we get some flock details and the rearing conditions. Secondly, the yields of breast and leg meat to dressed meat yield is totally wrong. Under normal conditions the breast meat yield is 22 to 24% and leg meat yield is 19 to 21% of the dressed bird yield. I would certainly look for some clarification from the authors.
it is definitely very useful article about solution to combat stress in poultry , especially in summer due to heavy temp. birds under gos sever stress and feed intake also reduced . but in ur article u r saying Improves meat quality in stressed poultry. if it is it means it is a good information.
Dear Captain Rajendra,
At the outset we appreciate your keen eye and thank you for taking time to minutely observe the details represented in our article.
The study we are referring to had been conducted at West Bengal University for animal and Fishery Sciences. It has been published in a peer reviewed journal (J.Sci Food Agric 88:787-796). Findings of the same scientists have also been published in the March 2008 issue of Asian poultry magazine and a reference to the same is also on engormix which can be accessed by following the pasted link (en.engormix.com/MA-poultry-industry/health/articles/chromium-picolinate-can-improve-t1509/165-p0.htm).
We agree that the data pointed out by you are actually remarkable and we shall revert after correspondence with the authors on the farm conditions and the other details you have pointed out. At present we have but the option to believe published data and of course constructively debate the results representated.
Once again we appreciate your attention and reassure you we shall revert in this forum on the results of the study.

Adressed to Dr. Ramzee.
Sir you have correctly observed that our article apears as a commercial one. Unfortunately (or fortunately for us) we have just one alternative for this product (chromium tri-picolinate) in our market. You would observe that most references cited from nutral source are not based on our product but on the active which in most cases was supplied by us.
Best regards
Dr. Naresh,
there is no other product in India with the same composition.
best regards
