Published:November 5, 2025
Dr. Claudia Parys (Evonik Animal Nutrition) explains the key challenges dairy farmers face during early lactation and heat stress. She also introduces a new natural solution to mitigate these effects.
I agree to cool cows before parturition and throughout lactation, which is the key challenges process of milk production by increasing cows' “peak” in early lactation prolonging persistency of lactation through mid and late lactation. During prolonging expose to high ambient temperature would involve many bodily alterations, including hormonal changes , body metabolism, feed intake and mammary functions. These factors would be elucidated for the dairy farmer.
