Chicken production in India is more sustainable than ever before Salient features of the article: 1. The environmental footprint of chicken production has decreased by 50% since 1965. 2. It takes 75% fewer resources to produce the same amount of chicken than it did in 1965! 3. 36% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions 4. For climate mitigation, it is important to reduce the use of fossil fuels in agriculture in order to reduce greenhouse gases. 5. 72% decrease in farm land used in poultry production; 6. and 58% decrease in water used in poultry production.?? 7.
