Dear Dr. Chris Morrow,
Thanks for this detailed information on control of Mycoplasmosis in Asian countries.
Most of the source of DOC in Asian countries are already Mycoplasma infected. In such conditions, commercial flocks can not be vaccinated. Mycoplasma negative flocks in highly contaminated areas becoming positive prior to vaccinating at around 6 weeks of age. Moreover, vaccinated flocks can not be treated 2 weeks prior & 4 weeks post vaccination with anti mycoplasma drug. This can give a good chance for secondary bacteria e.g. E.Coli to cause huge losses.
Kindly recommend the most suitable economical way of not complete control on Mycoplasma, but to reduce the losses as much as possible.

Mycoplasma can survive only 14 days outside of the bird. so we can protect the birds from mycoplasma by keeping them free. we can keep the birds free by good biosecurity roules easily.
