Dr Rath a poultry specialist in India feel that our target should be ensuring optimum levels of vaccination for IB disease at different ages. Besides Massachusetts strain, other strain vaccines like ho land and other available strain vaccine need to be used. However there is a dependency with the quality of vaccine and how frequently the vaccine has been prepared as per the expected genetic changes in the virus. So up-to date vaccine is important and beside special vaccine can be given in killed type to maintain the titer levels which an breeding farm should coordinate. Nephro-type vaccines are now additionally given for covering any local threats. It is always better to have best breeder management to have Gout free chicks. Beside vaccinations nutrition of breeders male and females are very important . vitE levels has to be kept 100mg /kg of ration by any means and best calcium and phos levels, and finally free from micotoxines in the feed. Water quality for breeder, trace mineral levels of breeder, other vitamine and amino acids like dlm etc should be ensured.
