Use of herbs for treatment of different ailments are as old as human itself. Different cultures developed wisdom to utilize locally available natural things to use as food or to ease their suffering through trial and error over centuries. We learn from our elders the age old remedies to use different natural product to prepare and use for treatment of different diseases. They never explained a reason to us but we were always told that we must not question our elders wisdom and should follow these recipes . But during this age of science, it is now researchers and scientist giving some definition or explanation to the working of natural herbs or plants so that we could have a reason to use the particular treatment that we were using on advice of our elders. This is an excellent piece of research that confirm the wisdom of our elders by giving scientific explanation to those treatments.
