(1) What is the best method for ear notching? (2) Do people do tags and use them for the year colour and the number for the sow? (3) Are there metal tags available or are they all plastic? (4) What is the best way to put them in? (5) At what age are they put in?

1) With an ear notcher.
2)Each colour represents a four mouth period. You can write the number of the sow with a special permanent marker. You can also hole bunch the tag or notch it to make it even easier.
3) Plastic are the best and easiest to use.
4) When they are vaccinated for the second time for Erysorb and Parvac, so at about 24-27 weeks.
