Summary
INTRODUCTION Tilapia species constitute a major and important item in the Egyptian fish farming. It displays many favourable attributes as culture species, on the basis of its general hardness, resistance to diseases, high yield potential and ability to grow on a wide range of natural and cheap artificial foods. Additionally, it also can withstand low oxygen concentrations, overcrowding, toler...

Dear author,

I like your information through scientific findings with statistical significance to reduce the fertility of the nile tilapia. I am not in the line of fish but I feel as a poultry expert that husbandry practices need to be changed for such fish type which make speed multiplication in the fresh water aquaculture. Suggestion would be to have linked ponds which can be used to reduce crowding of first pond through distribution to second pond and similarly third pond so on so that time is available to the fish to grow in normal density to the targeted body wt. Of course it is me thinking that any herbal or medicinal impact for controlling the population will certainly impact the growth or body wt and also the residual impact. It is also better to think the methods how to periodically depopulate the pond with some equipment. May I know the age wise body wts of this variety and targeted body wt at which age? However, I felt very nice to see the approach and steps taken to find the alternative ways to control the unusually high fertile species in aqua species. further may I know what is difficulty in expressing ME instead of GE in feeding formulations and applications in nutritional systems. Dr. M. Rath, a poultry specialist.
