USSEC staff, Illinois Soybean Association Lyle Roberts and Mark Albertson and Steve Hart of Indiana Soybean Alliance met in St. Louis to discuss future branding efforts for the Global Soy in Aquaculture Program. Through various activities, the Program will promote U.S. soy-based aquafeed as a quality product as well as promote the idea of soy-based fish feeds in general.
USSEC will continue to...
Soybeans is a very good source of plant protein. However there are other sources that should be encouraged too. Many tropical crops are neglected and have great aquacultural importance.
Dear viewers, no doubt soyabean as an aquafeed would be proved as an essential feed but geographical, agricultural land or soil quality determine marginal benefits from soya; we should focus on utilizing waste material trasformation from agricultural and industrial waste sources as they provide both economic and environmental benefits, and also nutritional requirement could be fullfilled by Microboa synthisis by biotechnological intervention. Thanks.

I agree soybean meal is a good source of protein in aquafeeds and that USSEC should choose PNG as one of the pilot project country because the the demand for Inland Aquaculture farming is very high at the moment and such project would be of great help.
