Natural Vitamin C with added benefits over Synthetic: Ayucee - Image 1
Role of Vitamin C is very well known to all. With other essential functions as vitamins, it also has a very role as antioxidant and stress buster. Although most of the farm animals can synthesize vitamin C in the body due to the presence of enzymes required for its synthesis but during periods of stress, such as immunological challenges, it has been reported that animal may have lower levels of an enzyme needed for the biosynthesis of vitamin C. So administration of external source of vitamin C becomes necessary in farm animals mostly poultry to support the health of animal during stress conditions such as heat stress, production stress, disease stress etc. At the tissue level, vitamin C acts as an antioxidant, thus playing a role in immune function due to its ability to scavenge free radical.
The problem is the majority of commercial vitamin C supplements which are available in the market is synthetic in nature and is termed as ascorbic acid which is not the actual Vitamin C. ascorbic acid represents the outer ring that serves as a protective shell for the entire vitamin C complex, much like an orange peel that serves as a protective shell for an orange. Real Vitamin C is found in whole foods like fruits and vegetables, which contain other components along with ascorbic acid. Many synthetic vitamins deplete animal’s body of other nutrients and tax their kidneys before being excreted through the urine.

A validation report demonstrating the effects of Natural Vitamin C (Ayucee) on the stress cooping capacity of the boiler chicken in comparison synthetic vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) is presented below is published in the Bulletin of Environment, Pharmacology and Life Sciences.

Immunological profile:
From haemagglutination and haemagglutination Inhibition test it revealed that antibody titer was significantly higher in treated group as compare to control group. Moreover, the antibody titer in Ayucee treated group is more than that of Synthetic Vitamin C treated group. The findings indicated that Ayucee enhanced the immune response of the birds.
Dietary supplementation of Ayucee which contain bioflavonoids ameliorated the heat stress. From the results of the present study, it is observed that significant improvement in oxidative stress ameliorative response and immune response of the birds.
