Use of highly bioavailable protein and probiotics in poultry feed

Published: October 6, 2021
Summary
Introduction Protein besides biologically active compound in the body exists as enzymes & hormones, also plays important role in physiology of living organisms. Soybean meal (SBM) is complete conventional protein source with well-balanced amino acids profile. On the other hand due to increase in prices of SBM, alternative sources like groundnut cake, sunflower meal, guar meal, rapeseed cak...

The world's increasing population has put tremendous pressure on protein sources, its supply and demand leading to rise in its prices. Chicks tend to grow at high rate during first & second week after hatch, but limit's due to anatomically complete but physiologically weak GIT, resulting in inefficient feed utilization. To overcome the limitations of the immature digestive tract, limitations of protein sources and to satisfy the need of least cost ration with value addition, it is recommended to add highly bioavailable protein and probiotics in feed which further reduces digestive stress, improves nutrient utilization and helps chicks to get kick start as well as to achieve flock uniformity. Introducing BEST-PRO - Bioavailable Protein with Probiotics. BEST-PRO is a unique combination of highly bioavailable protein with probiotics which helps to optimize protein requirement of birds, improve gut health, growth performance and production parameters. Benefits of BEST-PRO :- 1. Fulfills the nutritional gap. 2. Improves villus height and crypt depth. 3. Improves gut health & reduces digestive stress. 4. Reduces incidence of wet litter and pasty vent. 5. Immunomodulation. 6. Enhances growth performance and egg production parameters. GOOD FCR & GUT HEALTH IN SUMMER 1. High temperatures can impact bird performance and reduce profits for poultry producers. 2. The negative effects associated with heat stress include: a) reduced feed intake & growth b) decreased egg production c)higher mortality d) compromised meat and egg quality e) higher incidence of disease 3. Therefore, when the weather gets hotter, it is essential to give the chicken plenty of nutrients as the feed intake is reduced. 4. To avoid this in summer, energy rich sources like oil/fat should be added to the diet. 5. Providing a well-balanced amino acid supply with moderate levels of crude protein assists to minimize energy loss and helps chickens to cope with heat stress. 6. Use BEST PRO the right poly nutritional supplements enriched with probiotics for poultry feed. a) It is a poly- nutritional feed supplement of bioactive polypeptides which can be utilized easily with rapid absorption. b) It has higher bio availability and nutrient digestibility leading to increased growth and immunity. 7. Field trials with BEST PRO :- a) In Broilers played a role in muscle and meat development and increase in body weight 50 to 100 gms for bird. b) In Layers and Breeders there was decrease in pullet egg production, increased in Hen House Egg production and flock uniformity.
