Dear Sir, You have addressed a very important topic. This article is very very useful for broiler growers. In Asian countries many growers still are not aware of the early feeding. The literatures says a 10 gram increase in first seven days body weight contributes 40 to 50 grams increase in chicks body weight at the time of marketing. The other point you discussed is raelly important that grower should spend most of his time inside the sheds to understand the needs of his chicks. Remember another thing that DO NOT TRY TO DICTATE YOUR CHICKS, BUT ALWAYS OBEY THEM. Regards, Dr. Munawar Ali

This is true, we are getting same kind of results by using this method. Dr Munawar, I agree with you that never dictate your chicks, they can react like a dictator.

Early Feed Intake and Bird performance by G. Tom Tabler is an ideal approach for ideal poultry farming and practice. Table # 1 for early feed intake and Broiler Performance does not depict the nutrient density of feed to get the mentioned FCR. Overall it is a good article for the farmers to get best possible results.
