Healthier pigs with better growth and feed efficiency results in better margins for the producer!

The 2021 global demand for pork is high, favoring better pig prices for producers. Feed ingredient prices have also dramatically increased and may tighten profitability margins for pig producers. When both feed ingredient costs and pork prices are high, better FCR and better pig growth are especially important for the producer's bottom line.

It is well known that a healthy pig is a more profitable pig. A healthy pig eats better, grows faster, and converts feed nutrients to body weight more efficiently. In a recent review of 577 published articles, using spray-dried plasma in feed for nursery pigs improves ADG, ADFI, and FCR while offering additional health benefits. Healthier pigs allow producers to spend less time taking care of sick animals while saving money on medications and feed - and improves employee morale too!

Using plasma in nursery pig feed promotes healthier pigs with better growth and feed efficiency resulting in better margins for the producer.
