United Pork Americas (UPA) organizers have set a new date for the event: September 7-9, 2022. Initially scheduled for April, it was postponed due to global concerns related to Covid-19 after conversations with producers, company representatives and associations across the sector.
While it has a new date, the event will stay in Orlando, Florida. “The health and safety of all the people involved and the public, in addition to animals in the production system, are our top priority,” says UPA President, Flavia Roppa.
In cooperation with expert speakers from around the world, a series of online seminars will be held on dynamic topics most relevant to our global pork industry, starting in April and running until the event date.
“The first online session will be dedicated to the biggest threats of agroterrorism and what their effects would mean for our swine production systems,” she said. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the pork industry for partnering with us at United Pork Americas. We appreciate your patience as we navigate these challenging times. We look forward to engaging with everyone in meaningful conversations that affect our pork business.”
