This is an excellent accomplishment by Caldas and Silva from University of Brasilia in the field of mycotoxins in corn based food products consumed in Brazil. More of such studies are needed to be done especially in the developing nations. However, the obstacles are how to get fumonisins kits and the inavailability of HPLC in most laboratories in the 3rd world. Prof. Afolabi Oluwadun, Dept.
