Engormix welcomes Patent-co. Interview to Marko Vasiljevic

Patent-co, a family owned company located in Serbia, Europe, with more than 20 years experience in manufacturing feed additives, joins Engormix to grow its online presence and promote its products and activities.

Every year, Patent co. invests significant resources in research and development programs in laboratories, research centers and farms. These programs enable the development of new products, in order to find optimal solutions in animal feed production.

Marko Vasiljevic, patent-co. export director, answers our questions:

Could you introduce Patent co?

Patent co. is a family owned company with more than 20 years of experience in animal feed industry with specialty in production of mycotoxin binders.
Our slogan'' Know-How to Grow'' best describes Patent co. since it´s a combination of our operating vision, mission and principles.
Currently, we sell our products on 4 continents in more than 20 countries.
We justify our competitiveness on foreign markets with continuous investments in research and development and new internationally recognized quality systems in production.
But above all, Patent co. believes that our success depends on our customers and our commitment to supply them with high quality products that meet or exceed their expectations.

What´s the role of social media in your company?

As a modern and innovative company, we depend on a properly designed marketing strategy that allows us to position ourselves in the market and adapt to each new social concept.

In accordance with all mentioned above, we use social media not only as an extra marketing tool, but also as a powerful resource to introduce stakeholders to our quality and innovative products from a professional point of view.

Why has Patent co decided to join Engormix?

We have decided to cooperate with Engormix in order to introduce potential partners around the world with our company. Also, our goal is to emphasize the risk of mycotoxins present for animals, for humans; and to introduce some practical solutions to mitigate their harmful effects.

Since there is an increasing concern about mycotoxin nowadays, what is your view of this problem in the feed industry?

With the increment in raw materials trading in the world, the problem of mycotoxins is becoming increasingly a global problem, which is not related to specific climatic conditions. The approach to solve this problem must be wide, starting from the control of mold growth in the field, through proper storage of raw materials, and the use of products for the adsorption of mycotoxins. Also, special attention must be paid to the development of new methods for analyzing the presence of mycotoxins in animal feed.

Is Patent co working on any new developments or projects?

Patent co. is working in the development of a new 3rd generation mycotoxin binder. Our goal is to offer our customers a solution for conditions where there is a high risk of contamination with several mycotoxins at the same time.

Which activities are planned for 2014?

In 2014, Patent co. will open a representative office in Moscow, Russia in order to be more competitive in the territory and more accessible for current and future customers.
Additionally, our mycotoxin binder, Minazel Plus, which was registered in Brazil in 2013, will hopefully position ourselves as an efficient mycotoxin binder provider; since Minazel Plus is a reliable solution to deal with mycotoxins that currently cause main problems on Brazilians grain fields.
