It would be interesting to see the the electrolyte balance has on the blood pH. Acidosis could explain effect on albumen a bit like bonchitis does. Chloride levels seem very high in comparison with what we see here in Canada.

IntroductionEgg production, as an industrial activity, is always aimed at improving efficiency in production and economy by benefiting from the genetic potential presented by the current strains of commercial egg-producing hens. However, a constant concern lies in good nutrition. Given this aspect, one should be careful with the reduction of crude protein in diets for poultry due to a reduction in ...

Nicarbazin causes a more severe respiratory alkalosis at high temperature. Low chloride in the diet, high electrolyte balance of the diet, high potassium in all vegetable corn-soya diets and fever from infection will all increase the effect of this condition. Lowering the temperature to favor higher pCO2 levers and blood pH between 7.35 and 7.45 will all help in reducing mortality and geeting the ...

Great article. Maybe you should include Ca and P effect on DEB and it would then explain the phytase effect. The DEB has a major effect on blood pH and in particular the metabolic component. Calcium, hemoglobin, phosphorous and protein are buffers in the blood th bird will alter to counteract respiratory and metabolic changes that affect blood pH. We must also remember that the birds kidney does no ...

I think the sodium value of 400ppm should be clarified. I suppose it is for the water. I would propose to add more specifically electrolyte balance. We have seen ascites with very low chloride levels and normal sodium levels in the feed . The result was the same as high sodium levels resulting in metabolic alkalosis. Changes in blood pH will change oxygen ddissociation from hemoglobine and can be ...
