John F. Patience is a professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at Iowa State University, having joined the faculty in 2008. Prior to this, he was President and C.E.O. of the Prairie Swine Centre, a non-profit research and technology transfer company located in Saskatoon, Canada. He received his Ph.D. from Cornell University and B.Sc. (Agr) and M.S. degrees from the University of Guelph in animal science and animal nutrition, respectively.
