Information
Hosted by AB Vista, Inspire will be the first forum to lead the global NSP debate taking place in Pitlochry, Scotland from 31 March to 2 April 2014.
The interactive forum will gather world leading experts in NSP research to explore the substrate, address the challenges with fibre and examine enzyme solutions.
Location
Overlooking the Scottish Highlands, The Atholl Palace 4 star hotel in Pitlochry boasts spectacular gardens, a luxury spa and on-site museum.
Agenda
Session 1
The substrate story
Background to substrates looking at cell wall structures, fibre (NSP) classifications and measurements.
Unique images of structures of fibre in cereal grains taken with a scanning electron microscope.
Session 2
The fibre debate
The nutritive and anti-nutritive properties; looking at the quality of fibre and mechanisms of action in the monogastric gut.
New measurements of fibre, classifications of fibre and how they impact on animal performance, and mechanisms of action of NSPs.
Session 3
Examining enzyme solutions
The use of NSP enzymes as the solution for fibre and energy challenges.
The efficacy of enzymes; examining consistency and dose and interaction with cereal quality.
Interaction and synergy of NSP enzymes with other enzyme classes including phytase and protease.
Discussion
The format of the meeting will be interactive and there will be intervals throughout to summarise key messages and encourage open discussion. A full agenda will be available on the website closer to the event.
