Can you.use partially, extruded stabilised rice bran having between 10 to 12 % fat and 18 to 20% protein for broilers, if so. Kindly advise if any further modification will be required. The free fatty acid will be stabilised at about 3.5% Do you think that there is a market in the broiler industry as feed Presently high cost extruded soya which is costly being used.

How does the instapro perform in relation to cotton seed and other low bulk oil bearingn raw materials.which have low bulk density. What is the largestin Size extruder cooker insta pro makes for such low density raw materiel. I need offer for the biggest capacity machine made by insta pro.

Sankaran Suresh Sundaram On extrusion cooking being completed the starch should bind the product string enough not allow any variation in expansion. However it is very unlikely that product expansion alone is the problem. One would have to look at the die plate and die holes more closely. Take a product like kurkure, which has multiple expandable starches will surely have this same variation.

I should think the die design could be the problem in the cutter, If extrusion process is complete and cooking has taken place to the desired extent then the vagaries of pellet shape front being larger than the rear might not have anything to the recipe. Dry Extrusion can process recipe vontsining just 7 to 8 % without any problem. Also the thickness of the die plate would be minimal and therefo ...

De oiled rice bran containing less than 1 %;fat is being used extensively in poultry feed However broiler feed plants are using additional fat by way of adding some volume of vegetable oil into the feeds in order to provide the desirable percentage of required fat. In the event residual fat in rice bran can be allowed to remain in the bran to the extent required then what would be the ideal percen ...

Many years ago the cell wall in rice bran has been ruptured however there seems to be no one who has successfully extracted the oil. Can any one throw some light on the problems are and how it can get resolved India has 30000 modern rice mills and none of them have resorted to this method. I wish to take this technology to the rice miller's for their and the nation's benefit

In the past using a single screw extruder ( insta pro) the cell wall of the rice bran has been ruptured enabling the oil to get separated from the bran however the extraction of the oil physically from the bran were not studied.it is now proposed by me to extract rice bran oil directly at the rice mills itself, first by rupturing the cell and then using an expeller (oil mill) to extract the oil. I ...

Is there any study on physical extraction of rice bran oil as against solvent extraction?
