Haroon Mushtaq Normally, if phyt+NSPase are included, 0.8+0.8=1.6 regarding energy and AAs should be applied.

Dear Bob, Thanks for sharing this work. Did you apply in formulations all parameters of matrix of enzymes: minerals plus energy plus AAs? And when combining phytase with NSPase, using 80% of each matrix for AME and AAs?

Dear Carlos, I appreciate that you have specified the daily amounts of protein and energy for matching roosters' requirements.

Dear Uloma, Different enzyme products differ in their thermostabilty. One needs to apply a product which is able to survive the regime of heat treatment in process of pelleting. The other option is to spray a liquid product post pelleting.

Dear Lokare,For the proper application of phytase one needs to know the matrix values of the product, the phytic P levels in the feed and the goal of the production: performance or cost savings.

Nelson Ruiz , thanks for your comment. My statement is based on meta-analysis performed by Lee et al., 2018: Poultry Sci., 0:1-8. http://dx.doi.org/10.3382/ps/pey042 For details, pls refer to the paper above. Just an example with AIAAD (%) of Lys: no other enzymes: 84.21 no protease 86.37 + protease with other enzymes: 85.75 no protease 86.11 + protease

If you apply protease as a sole enzyme, you get improvement in performance. When add into diets with phytase and NSPase, there is no additional significant effect. So, 1+1+1 =2.

In majority of formulations in poultry industry phytase and NSPases are included in the diets. Adding protease as a 3rd exogenous enzyme does not bring significant additional benefit. Need to consider ROI of protease.

Ken Ken To use the optimal dose need to measure phytic P content of the feed to understand whether it is enough to apply the matrix relevant to the specific inclusion rate of certain phytase product. Is you have enough substrate in the feed and animal requirements for available P allow, you can use not only 500 and 750 but even 1000FTU/kg
