Southern Illinois University
Dr. Small received his PhD in the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences, University of Maryland, with an emphasis in Fish Nutrition/Physiology. His postdoctoral work was in molecular endocrinology. Dr. Small held a Research Physiologist position for 10 years with the USDA's Catfish Genetics Research Unit, Stoneville, Mississippi prior to joining the faculty at SIUC, where he now holds a joint appointment in the Center for Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences.
