Tilapia and carp growth at different stocking densities
Intensive Rearing of Mono-Sex Nile Tilapia and Silver Carp Under Mono-or Poyculture Systems at different Stocking Densities in Floating Net Cages

Summary
ABSTRACT An experiment was carried out for 6 months on rearing Nile tilapia and silver carp, whether under monoculture or polyculture at different stocking densities. Four floating net cages (10 x 10 x 3 m) were used. The obtained results revealed that the best treatment was the monoculture of all males mono-sex Nile tilapia (10000 fish of 10g each/cage) followed by that of polyculture (...
Tilapia culture in floating net cage is now a common practice all around the world. but Silver carp with Tilapia in net cage is a bit difficult as because Phytoplankton is essential for proper growth of silver carp. if it will be rared in a cage with floating feed then what will be the feed competition among the two different species. I think It should be trial more.
