In the conclusions you say that the use of probiotics promotes growth and increased disease resistance: 1. ¿What is the disease causing CAIM 170 strain? 2. ¿Is this proved that the strain used is pathogen? 3. After the epidemic caused by a pathogenic strain of Vp, aquaculturists different bacterial strains used indiscriminately, most of these without registration with the authority. What do you think about that? Best regards

I accept and appreciate the findings given by you and thank each one of you that participated for the probiotic nature.

¿Does it help to control the emergency of Whitefecal disease? And if so, ¿how many days we continue with specific dose? ¿Can you give appropriate dosage and duration of treatment?

Dear Garcia et al, Thank you for sharing the good work. It would be interesting to know the thermotolerance of spores of Streptomyces used here as feed pelleting process involves heat. We have seen that application of a mixture of Bacillus species into culture water and to feed resulted in improvement of immune indices such as prophenoloxidase, superoxide dismutase and intracellular superoxide anion activity of juvenile of Penaeus monodon in field trials. A similar experiment with Streptomyces would through more light on the immune aspect of Streptomyces.
