Excellent information on the mode of action of the live attenuated ST vaccine, when applied on the first day of life, via drinking water.
Several research studies show that the association of live attenuated SE and ST vaccines with probiotics is positive, when applied by spray, in the incubation plant, or in drinking water.
I personally prefer it by spray, in the incubation plant, because we gain 24 hours or more of advantage in protecting the digestive tract compared to applying it in water, on the farm.
In addition, many incubation machines are still multi-stage, and harbor pathogens, including non-typhoid Salmonella. For this reason, application in the hatchery would be so desirable and important.
