Estimation of CO2 emission from chickens using self made CO2 gas chember

Published: October 16, 2022
By: Dr. Sahil Kalia, Ph.D.
Recently we made an in-house gas chamber made up of an acrylic box to analyze CO2 emissions from broiler birds during the growing period. The box acted in a similar way to a respiratory chamber. It is much cheaper and more convenient to analyze GHG emissions from poultry birds. Specifications: Acrylic gas chamber 10inch x 10inch x 12inch CO2 meter: CM-505 (Gaslab plus) Air pump: Constant airflow from the air pump Fans in the room: Circulate the air in the room
