Cages came up to avoid cannabolism and to enhance bird health food safety ease of mechanization. The over all productivity went up?
Are the birds unhappy?
Only happy hens lay more eggs.
It is unfortunate poultry owners don't spend time to fight politics. We came to a stage we accept the age old nonsense of exosing our valuable birds to predators diseases and pay twice the cost for eggs.
