CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Poultry Science Association (PSA) has launched a new initiative to share research from Poultry Science® and Journal of Applied Poultry Research in a concise format. The Association’s new Interpretive Summaries are brief, easy-to-read articles that highlight key facts from studies in PSA’s journals. The summaries include key take-aways for producers in the poultry industry.
Each interpretive summary focuses on one study from a PSA journal. Topics range from animal nutrition to animal health and welfare. Recent summaries include research on eating undercooked turkey livers and the testing of avian influenza vaccination strategies.
“We are excited to bring interpretive summaries to our members and the poultry science community,” says Sam Shafer, Poultry Science Association Communications Specialist. “Adhering to our mission, we believe the interpretive summaries are helping us to continue disseminating the knowledge and research within poultry science. PSA looks forward to continuing to create new resources such as this in the years to come.”
PSA’s Interpretive Summaries can be found online and are included in PSA’s monthly eNewsletter, PSA Postings, which is distributed on the second Wednesday of every month. Individuals interested in having their research highlighted in an interpretive summary or one of PSA’s other outlets, can complete the Get Involved with PSA Form for content consideration.
