Novus announces new poultry expert serving the Americas

SAINT CHARLES, MISSOURI (7 March 2023) – Gabriela Cardoso Dal Pont, Ph.D., has joined the poultry team at Novus International, Inc., to support customers in the Americas.

As the new poultry solutions manager, Cardoso will drive the intelligent nutrition company’s poultry business strategy in the Americas. Her responsibilities include overseeing the development, launch and success of new products, applications and research trials, and working with the sales and technical teams to empower customers with knowledge and best practices beyond the solutions Novus offers.

Prior to joining Novus, Cardoso founded Academia da Avicultura. Along with serving as a digital school providing poultry education and training for those in Brazil, the organization also provides marketing services for the industry. She is also a presenter for the school’s podcast, AVEcast.

Cardoso says her passion for animals drew her to the industry.

“I always wanted to work with them but when earning my veterinary degree at the Federal University of Parana I fell in love with poultry production, many due to the level of technology and precision found in the modern poultry industry,” Cardoso said. “It’s a fascinating field to work in.”

Cardoso is a member of the Poultry Science Association and served as student director on the board from 2020-2022. She also serves on the advisory committee for the PSA Hatchery, the organization’s student group.

Novus Executive Manager of Global Poultry Solutions Hugo Romero, Ph.D., said he couldn’t have found a person more passionate about transferring scientific concepts into solutions for poultry producers.
