coccidiosis

coccidiosis
found very thin layer in laying period with ballooned distend mid gut suspected coccidiosis but microscopic examination of scraping of mucosa did not found any oocyst ! can anyone confirm this can be coccidiosis and why microscopic cannot confirm the oocyst ?
