i agree with a lot of your points ,,as a freerun egg producer,and utilising an on farm feed mill here are a couple point that i have learned ,in the pullet barn ,, putting in half large particle calcium starting at 6 to7 weeks ,,include a wood lignand at 5 kgs per ton , and add vitamin c, add hyd at 300 grams per ton ,on top of the 4000 iu in the micro ,,,,, and have also absorved that feeding lower than the recommend calcium and phos ,makes the bird more efficent and do not go over 3.8 percent calcium in layer diets , instead top up with 350/grams of DSM rovimix hy,d seen a huge benefit . and .32 phos
