Dear all, excellent work. In the 1990s, I conducted a study using the Serial Intestinal Mucosal Scraping Method (MRSMI) at what was then the largest company in Argentina.

That was the subject of my doctoral dissertation at the National University of Luján. My findings regarding prevalence are similar to those you have reported.

However, what I want to point out is that the method used in that monitoring (MRSMI) was the most accurate and reliable, since it allows us to observe not only the number of oocysts but also their developmental stages, thereby detecting both subclinical infections and those in the prepatent period.

In clinical practice, we should continue to use this method for routine monitoring.
