Hello. Dear collegues , please help me with some information about Herbal methionine ( if you use this or you ever use this kind of product. I have in this moment in my storage 1000kg Methiomax from AlfaFacts ( contain andrographis paniculata 40%, ocimum sanctum 30% and azadirachta indica 30%) I took this product from curiosity. What do you know about this product : can be used for poultry and pigs as herbal methionine or not. Is allright to be used or can be harmfull for the animals? Because I did not find any information about this product , any help is wonderfull. All the best. Ing. Ionut Dragan

Hi would Like to add few things about this unique product.
Methiomax or Herbal Methionine is natural or can say organic replacement of Synthetic methionine like DLM or MHA available commonly in the market.
As we know Methionine is crucial Limiting amino acid of poultry diet which can not be synthesized by the body and required supplementation through diet.
This herbal Methionine follow the same mechanism as by synthetic one in protein synthesis and the one crucial benefit is the safety, Due to its herbal nature it do not have any side effects on the bird organs. On contrary Synthetic methionine if increased in dose has antagonist effect on absorption of other amino acid especially lysine. Also chemical nature means it need to go through the metabolic process of detoxyfication and hence have some effects on Liver and kidney.

This is similar product from Arosol/Alphafacts which has been replaced up to 65-70 % with beneficial effects in Broiler chicken. Means If requirement of synthetic methionine is 1 Kg/MT of feed than 650 gm should be Herbal methionine or Methiomax, while 350 gm should be synthetic methionine.
