New products: Flatpack X5i
A number of new products have recently been developed, including the new X5i. This is the fifth innovation to the original flatpack. The bag is similar to the current flatpack but has a permanent seal with a ridged edge for better insertion and grip on the catheter, plus the softer material means that it will collapse better and allow the semen to flow freely.
This easy-to-use bag needs just a single movement for use; the catheter or universal tip is merely inserted into position in the same way as a straw into a drinks carton. The compact form of the new design also means 25-30% more bags fit in a box, reducing packaging costs as well as your waste disposal costs!
When used in tandem with the Golden range of IMV catheters, the new X5i has been proven to reduce semen leakage during insemination. The shape of the new bag maximises the exposure of the sperm cells to the essential life-sustaining nutrients over time. The system works naturally in rhythm with uterine contractions and the distension properties of the reproductive tract, so no pressure needs to be applied to the bag during insemination.
Manual Filling Machine
Other new products include a new manual machine with capabilities of filling 300 bags/hour using the same bags and systems as used by PIC on their automatic machines, also supplied through Innovis.
