The Joy of Hog Production“ By: Paul Walker Thompson Written April 18, 2014 Submitted April 27, 2014 There has been so much difficult stuff to deal with in Hog Production recently in the United States with the advent of PEDV; I felt the need to look at something positive. In my opinion, those who can make a living raising pigs lead a very satisfying and blessed lifestyle. The pig is such a happy and intelligent animal. It is such a joy to raise these animals and watch them grow and develop. Though Hog Farmers work long and hard hours, they are normally filled with contentment. The provision of a healthy protein source, that pigs provide humanity, is greatly needed to feed a growing world population, and we should feel good about our role in this!
