Dr Hans, fundamental reports on the nutritive value of fibrous sources in pig feed. However, in the evaluation of fiber rich sources for these animals, it is essential to evaluate their influence on the microbiota. This is because, if there is a negative effect on the microbiota, even if there is no effect on the performance of experimental animals, restrictions should be placed on their use in field conditions, since the level of immune challenge is higher, making the the negative changes in the microbiota.
